In my car
my dog
is no longer
fat and slow

He is a God
A fast
beautiful
drooling
God
Dogs
genuflect
before his spped,
​
while cats
hiss,
and skunks
spray,
and possums
faing
Greyhounds
genuflect
before his speed,
​
while cats
hiss,
​
and skunks
spray,
​
and possums
faint
and fall
from trees
But my dog
ignores them all
​
as he howls
down the road
in his hallowed hotrod
​
looking for pretty poodles
to impress
​
and roadkill
to resurrect
from shards
of blood and fur
​
