the concept

Facetious, almost dark humour, take a journey with 25 bright young kids from every race and background as they tell the simple truth of how sex trafficking of children works.

Four and a half minutes long this spoken word piece will have a sentence start with one child, continue with another, and finish with a third.

Each kid is filmed looking straight on at the camera, some with just a plain background, others in a location, like a mall or a walmart.

Of the 23 kids, 21 will be girls, and two boys, and each of them will be wearing the same kind of t-shirt with the words ´DON´T TOUCH ME´ or ´HANDS OFF´ on the front.   One or two shirts will have the words in Spanish , or French, Russian, etc.

THE CONCEPT

the style

In one scene a child with a stop watch will illustrate how professional these traffickers are, by timing how in less than 12 seconds they can have your kid sedated, dropped into a laundry bag, put into a cart, and out to a van waiting at a loading dock, all while  you stand outside a washroom waiting.

The kid clicks the stop watch and yells over to the trafficking team at the van, ´12.6 seconds, hey thats a personal best´.  The two guys and one lady at the van give back an enthusiastic thumbs up.

During the rest of the film we revisit the interior of the van and the laundry bag that has someone´s daughter in it.  She keeps up the dialogue from inside the bag, but so muffled we need subtitles.

´And I´ll be on the highway to who knows where before you even know Im not in that washroom anymore´.

THE STYLE

THE HOPE

THE FILM ENDS WITH ONE CHILD SAYING AND EXPLAINING ´HEY, SO THAT´S OUR FILM, BUT TO PUT SOME PERCPECTIVE HERE, IN THE FOUR AND A HALF MINUTES IT TOOK TO WATCH THIS 678 KIDS WERE JUST RAPED FOR MONEY SOMEWHERE IN TYHE WORLD.  CRAZY HEY´.

IN THE BODY OF THE FILM THOUGH KIDS WILL OFFER THOUGHTS ON SOLUTIONS, BASED SOME ON THE INGENUITY OF THE OHIO STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND A FRIEND THERE WHO HEADS IT UP,  WHO HAVE CREATED WAYS FOR KIDS TO REACH OUT FOR HELP, INCUDING MOTEL BATHROOM SOAP BARS THAT HAVE THE MESSAGE, IF YOU ARE BEING HELD CAPTIVE SCRATCH THESE WORDS OFF THIS SOAP AND LEAVE IT FACE DOWN ON THE TRAY´.

BUT EACH IDEA ONLY LASTS SO LONG BEFORE THESE PROFESSIONALS CATCH ON.   THERE´S A FEW THEY HAVE WE CAN´T TELL YOU ABOUT.  STILL WE ARE GOING TO SUGGEST THINGS LIKE KID HAND SIGNALS THAT A KID AT A MALL CAN MAKE TO ANOTHER KID TO SAY ´HELP ME´.

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING INTO THE DEVELOPMENT OF KID TRACKERS, SPECIALIZED GPS UNITS EMBEDDED IN CLOTHING OR A KIDS EARING   JUST SAYING.   WE NEED TO BE CREATIVE AND PRO ACTIVE
