THE STORY
Besides the recent stuff, R.I.P. Mylie and Johnney, here is where it started.
The TRANS journey is created around three films, one a short introduction, next a documentary that chronicles the very real story of Jonathon Hernandez and Mylie Garcia and the events that transpired between them up until Johnny´s death December 13th 2020, and then continuing on to see if the movie, Jonathon´s idea, the feature film, carrying on in Johnny´s memory and for his six year old son, gets made.
The TRANS feature is the story of two of Obama´s ´Dreamers´, kids who grew up in America, educated in America as Americans only to be deported to country neither knew really anything about. Mylie and Johnny were both deported at age 19, Mylie from Arizona and Johnny from Utah. Mylie is also transgender which makes our story even more relevant and poignant
TRANS at first glance feels like a love story but as it unfolds it becomes more of a relationship story and how in the strangest and dangerous of times we see that the courage of friends, beyond labels, and definitions of what a person is, that true friendship transcends all things.
The film chronicles their lives as they try to survive together in a world that discriminates against them for what they are, and even more so, for where they have come from, because although they were born in Mexico, they are not considered Mexican by the ´true´ Mexicans they meet. They are Americanized, like aliens returned them but returned them missing something or with something corrupted by them having grown up in America.
Harassed daily by the police they spend more time in jail, than not. Johnny on the guys side and Mylie always on the girls side. They survive as best they can in a place that even at the best of times their life hangs in the balance and then made all the more harrowing by the Covid 19 pandemic.
The film is a dramatic feature that will be created by the characters the film is about, with Mylie playing herself, and a carefully thought out and searched for actor we will cast to play Johnny.
Culturally, even how the film will be musically driven, with heavy Mexican rap influence, we hope to also give the world a different perspective on the Mexican people and their indomitable spirit. We also want to create a community creative experience by opening up our production for people to come experience it live through constant streaming events.
Our goal is to find a brilliant talented Transgender director to direct the final feature film. Let this film be a welcome letter to the world from the Transgender community to come get to know this story in a spirit of openness and sharing and grace.
It´s been five months since Johnny left us. We have decided to continue on in his memory and to stay the course telling Mylie´s story especially to help perhaps stop the bigotry, intolerance and violence that the Transgender community has to endure.
This is a big thing for us to finally launch our first Kickstarter in light of everything we have had to navigate.

THIS FILM IS A TRIBUTE TO THEM AND ASKS THE QUESTION ´WHO´S GONNA BUILD THAT WALL?´ IT´S TIME AMERICA THAT WE FACE OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR IRRESPONSIBLE PART IN THESE DEATHS. IT´S NOT TRUMP OR BIDEN´S FAULT. IT´S OUR FAULT WHAT WE HELP CREATE.

ASHELY IS FROM GUERRERO, ACAPULCO. HER LIFE HAS BEEN ONE GNARLY EVENT AFTER THE OTHER. SHE COMES FROM MAYBE THE MOST VIOLENT CITY IN OUR HEMISPHERE. AND SHE´S ALSO A TRANSGENDER YOUNG PERSON TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO SURVIVE IN A WORLD THAT WOULDN´T THINK TWICE IF SHE WAS NO LONGER WITH US.
WELL WE WOULD THINK TWICE AND DO. WE LOVE ASHLEY AND SO WILL YOU ONCE YOU GET TO KNOW HER. YOU MIGHT THINK SHE´S DELICATE, BUT THE MORE TIME WE SPEND WITH HER THE MORE APPARANT IT IS THAT SHE IS ALSO ONE OF THE MOST EMOTIONALLY STRONG PEOPLE YOU MIGHT EVER MEET.
NO MATTER WHAT LIFE THROWS AT HER SHE NEVER SURRENDERS AND WHEN SHE LETS HER LITTLE LAUGH AND SMILE COME OUT YOU CAN´T HELP BUT BE TAKEN BY IT.
HER ENERGY AND SPIRIT WILL BE A MAJOR REASON WE JUST MIGHT HAVE THE MAJOR FILM EVENT WE CAN FEEL THIS IS BECOMING. SO FEEL FREE TO COME ABOARD AND BE A PART OF HISTORY BEING MADE AND LIVES BEING CHANGED MAYBE YOURS EVEN BY A NEW UNDERSTANDING NOT JUST OF THE TRANSGENDER JOURNEY, BUT EVEN MORE THE JOURNEY ALL OF US IN THIS HUMAN CONDITION THAT OFTEN GETS ITSELF TANGLED IN LONGING AND LONELINESS AND THE NEED FOR SOMETHING THAT CAN BOTH UNRAVEL US BUT ALSO GIVE US A BREAK FROM THE STORMS WE ARE.
